Binge, get inspired, and jam out to some non-traditional holiday favorites!
web of lies- For this month's binge-worthy rec I have to go withYounger from TV Land. The pop-culture, political references and humor are so on point, I find myself wildly laughing out loud and constantly in need of a pause to gather myself. I've gone through all four seasons and am not-so-patiently waiting for season 5. Find it on Hulu for some serious binging when the chill of winter sets in.
for planning ahead- If you're a solopreneur or just wanting to be more on top of your Instagram game, this one's for you. Planoly is my favorite visual app for the biz. With this tool, you can see how images work in the grid and move things around to make sure you have that cohesive vibe just so. You can also batch hashtags, write in captions, and schedule your posts to go live with a reminder and one simple click. Epic. Time. Saver.
throwing it back- It's December, so I have to. For this month's music rec I'm throwing it back to the good ole days of The OC. Their soundtracks were always kind of THE BEST and I personally loved me some Mix 3- Have A Very Merry Chrismukkah. All good jams and none of the Christmas repeats you hear all season long. I'm talking Ben Kweller, The Long Winters, and my personal 14-yr-old-self fav: Christmas by Leona Naess.
women who inspire- New York Times Bestseller, In the Company of Women by Grace Bonney, is chock-full of inspiration and motivation from over 100 influential women. Embracing your own entrepreneurial spirit is no small feat and this book will no doubt be that extra nudge you need. Call it a New Year's resolution read. Bonus: it's an all-around beautiful book which makes it the ideal coffee table companion.
holidays in belmar- Horseshoe Market has a retail store pop-up in Belmar this December and there are a few more days left to shop! Right across from the ice skating rink in the Belmar plaza, the temporary space has work from 60 local makers, a lounge and play area, and a warming station for ice skaters. The market is open Thursday-Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 11am-6pm until Christmas Eve.
